Expectations

I really try to be wonderful all the time. You would think that is a very laudible goal, but it does seem to create it's own problems. Like when I don't want to be wonderful, but a little selfish and lazy.

It's not all the time I feel that way, of course. But I do feel that way occasionally. I mean, I am used to spending most of my time alone, and I might actually need some alone time to feel healthy. Motorcycling, of course, helps. You can feel very alone on the back of a bike in the middle of nowhere. Especially when the bike stops working. But quiet evenings at home with a book, or just vegging in front of the TV is nice too.

To be selfish, or to be wonderful. I think Shakespeare had the wrong question.

Post V-Day

Well, the trickle pf gifts was not well received, though the chocolate went over very well. I am still alittle hurt over it, but I will live.

I like to stay at hotels, and over the last couple years have been using Country Inns just about exclusively. The beds are comfy, and they have free breakfest. Well, alot of places actually have free breakfest now, but I just like Country Inns. I would recommend them to anyone looking to travel.

I also like camping, but you can't easily camp in Wisconsin in Febuary, especially in a town when visiting your girlfriend, who's idea of roghing it is the lack of Food Network on the TV.

She really is cute, though, and not as bad as that sounds. I am sure I will hear about typing it later.

I had really good intentions when I started this blog, seems I have some issues to work out.

Valentines day is just around the corner, next week in fact. A time when guys shower their women with gifts. My woman, who is way better than I deserve, probably, isn't really getting a shower, more of a trickle, but it is a high quality trickle, so I hope that makes up for it. At least she is not getting a stuffed animal, she says she has enough of those.

She was also on me to update this, so I need to thank her for that too, since I really do need to update this more often. And she puts up with me.
